Art is for Everyone!
Hillsboro Arts League (HAL) is a grassroots, volunteer-run organization which was formed in 2022. We opened the doors of our gallery, classroom and film darkroom in January 2023.
HAL was designated a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in September 2023.

HAL has lots of ideas for the future! Public art, art classes for all ages, events, and more.

Be part of the art! Attend a class or event, become a member, or support us through your donations.

Members meet the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7pm at our Gallery/Classroom/Darkroom, 54-A West Elm Street.

New Mural Opportunity
We are excited about another mural opportunity!

The company https://usa.muralmosaic.com/ puts together kits that allow the community to participate in the creation of a mural.

The newest opportunity will honor our country's 250th birthday! But to participate in this project, we have to be able to purchase the kit soon. The Patriot’s Flag design (with the Eagle) comes in a 7x12 version for 200 participants, the cost is $4997. (https://usa.muralmosaic.com/product/america-250-patriots-flag-mural-mosaic-kit/) We do not have a space selected yet. But here's the thing: if we can raise $5000 by the end of the year (a tall order!), we can make this happen before July 4, 2026!
You can donate online at https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/a2e700aa-620b-4f4a-8ff4-668e53573da1 (our fundraising platform doesn't charge our nonprofit!). Imagine: if 100 people gave $50 each, we'd cover the entire cost of the mural!

Our
Story
The Hillsboro Arts League, or HAI, is a place for all to show their art, practice their craft, and improve upon it.
Formed in 2022, and moved in 2026, our league has grown from what it once was into a truly great place revolving around the art provided by the community.
in January 2023. HAL was designated a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in September 2023, and continues to give back to aspiring artists.
We are excited to share our new community art center at The Point that will be open July 1!

Members meet the third Thursday of each month at 6pm.
Hillsboro Arts League Serves as a safe place for any aspiring artist. This can be anyone, from someone just starting out who needs a bit of help, to an accomplished artist that just needs somewhere to show their talent, and even someone who just wants to list their art. We simply want to help uplift any artist, whether by improvement, or just a place to show their skills, we're always open to help our community of artists.
Our Mission
Our Purpose
Our purpose is the same as our mission, to help aspiring artists in their representation, and their skill. We want to give artists a place where they can improve and show off their talent, and where they can make a living off of it, a place where they can represent themself to the fullest
We hope to create a Hillsboro where art and creativity are encouraged and celebrated. We want to create a place that truly shows the imagination, creativity, and celebration of life that goes into art. We hope to turn Hillsboro into a place filled with art, a place where artists of all kinds, all genres, and all levels of skill can show their art, their skill, where they can improve and give tips, a place where art can truly shine and show, no matter how good, and how big the artist, that, is what we do this for.
